(Top image – No filter – Bottom image – LB Warming Polarizer)
Last week I was asked by Singh Ray to do some testing on a prototype filter. The filter was a 150 x 150mm LB Warming Polarizer.
As a disclaimer, all of my testing was done using my Nikkor 14-24mm wide angle lens attached to my Nikon D810. The lens is very bulbous and requires an extremely large filter system to avoid any sort of vignetting. I used a NISI filter holder specifically designed for the Nikkor 14–24mm lens and holds the 150mm square filter perfectly.
During my testing, I shot a series of images. The first one with no polarization and the second with full polarization. The polarization was perfect and the warming feature made a nice addition to the filter.
Looks like I have a new “go-to” polarizer for my wide angle lens 😊
If you are interested in the filter, pre-orders can be made with a one – two month time frame, by calling Singh-Ray directly. (800-486-5501 or 863-993-4100 – 9am-5pm EST, M-F)
