“Pink Lady Slipper”

2016-05-17-11-39-23-(B,Radius8,Smoothing8)-1

I found this “Pink Lady Slipper” in the Great Smoky Mountains with the help of my good friend David Akoubian. My hat’s off to David because it is a real treat now days that two professionals can work and share information as well as we do!

I shot 5 images at different focal points then stacked the 5 images using Helicon Focus to maintain as much sharpness in the flowers as I could while still blurring my background.

Metadata:

  • Nikon D810
  • Tamron Lens –(New) SP 90mm f/2.8 Di VC
  • Gitzo GT3542xls tripod
  • Lexar CF Card
  • Helicon Focus
  • Exposure – 1/90 seconds
  • Aperture – f/3.8
  • ISO – 64
  • Manual Mode

Best of Light,

Ed

  1. Nice find Ed! It’s good to share info and tips…after all, we all have pretty much the same goals. Enjoy nature to it’s fullest and try to preserve our vision the best we can through photography.
