Annual Trip to DC

2016-5510-1

Good evening,

Just rebounding from a two day trip to Washington DC for our annual Cherry Blossom visit. Zach and I journeyed down Wednesday and met up with friend and fellow photographer Dan Potter. We spent all afternoon and evening shooting around the Tidal Basin and Monuments.  The Cherry Blossom were almost peak making for some nice images! One extra bonus was Dan noticing the full moon rising over the Jefferson Memorial (that image to come).  So we ended up shooting well into the night! I had booked a room over in Crystal City making it easier to get to the Tidal Basin early for a good spot at sunrise. As they say, “no rest for the weary” we were up and at them at 4:30am with a quick trip across the river to setup. After locating our spot and waiting for the light we saw several more friends, Jack Nevitt, Sue Mcpherson, Mike Crosby and Steve Whitney.

It’s truly a small world…
